JUNIOR/SENIOR JUDGED SEPARATELY Judge looks for: Handler skill and confidence Correct control of the horse Presentation and ringcraft Class 2 - Youngstock (6m�3 years) Open to: Foals, yearlings, two- and three-year-old horses/ponies. Judge looks for: Conformation Straight movement Overall quality and potential Class 3 � Mountain & Moorland Inhand Open to: Native breeds. JUNIOR/SENIOR JUDGED SEPARATELY Judge looks for: Correct breed type Natural condition Free movement Class 4 � Coloured Horse/Pony Inhand Open to: Skewbald, piebald, spotted or unusual coloured horses/ponies. Judge looks for: Markings Conformation Movement Class 5 � Veteran Horse/Pony (15 years and over) Judge looks for: Soundness Condition for age Manners Class 6 � New Combination Open to: Horse / pony and handler combinations who have been together for a short time (often under 12 months). Judge looks for: Partnership between horse/pony and handler Potential as a combination Manners and presentation Class 7 � ROR / Plaited Ex-Racehorse For horses eligible with Retraining of Racehorses. Open to: Thoroughbreds that have previously raced and are now retrained. Judge looks for: Way of going after retraining Manners whilst handling Overall presentation. Class 8 � Best Condition Open to: Any horse or pony. Judge looks for: Healthy weight and muscle tone Shiny coat and overall health Fitness and condition appropriate to the horse�s type and age Class 9 � Cob Open to: Traditional cobs, maxi cobs or show cobs. Judge looks for: Correct cob type Strong movement Manners and rideability Class 10 � Inhand Mare or filly Open to: Mares of any breed or type. Judge looks for: Conformation Movement Overall condition and manners Class 11 � Inhand Gelding, Colt or Stallion Open to: Geldings of any breed or type. Judge looks for: Conformation Movement Overall condition and manners Inhand Championship Open to: 1st and 2nd place winners from Classes 1�11. Competitors return to the ring. JUNIOR/SENIOR JUDGED SEPARATELY - Most Improved sash for the junior section only. 🏆 Inhand Champion 🏆 Inhand Reserve Champion 🏆 Inhand Most Improved - junior only Ridden Classes Not before 1:45pm Class 12 � Ridden Walk & Trot Open to: Riders who wish to compete without cantering. Judge looks for: Rhythm and balance Control of the horse Confidence and manners Class 13 - Tiny Tots (Assisted by parents friends or family) Open to: Very young riders (6 years & under). Judge looks for: Confidence Smiles and enjoyment Overall turnout Class 14 � New Combination Open to: Horse and rider combinations who have been together for a short time (often under 12 months). Optional Canter. Judge looks for: Partnership Potential Manners Class 15 � Cob Open to: Traditional cobs, maxi cobs or show cobs.
