Additional Event Information
In this session, Katie joins BHS to explore the real foundations of rider confidence both in the saddle and on the ground. Whether youre a happy hacker or a riding club competitor, confidence wobbles can happen to all of us and they can be really challenging to overcome. This talk is going to help break down the mental and physical myths that can often hold riders back, and offer practical ways to rebuild trust in yourself, your body and know the right things that you need to be doing to actually see results and improvements in your riding.
Well cover how training your body can support your mindset, what to do when nerves hit, and why rider confidence is about far more than just 'being brave.' Well also touch on rider safety, horse welfare, and how looking after yourself properly directly impacts your horses wellbeing and performance.
This session is going to be packed full of advice that you can go away and implement and a relaxed, down-to-earth session with time for questions at the end. We will also be going through some goal setting towards the end so that you can take the information you learn in the session and move forwards with it with a clear action plan for yourself.
Whether youre riding for fun or working towards your own personal goals, this session is designed to help you feel safer and more confident in every part of your riding life and get a greater understanding of how being fitter and stronger is going to influence that.
