Additional Event Information

You've probably heard of the Kiplingcotes Derby - the oldest horse-race in the world. It has run in March every year since 1519 without a break! The 'racecourse' is on road-verges and a rough track, and this ride is an opportunity to ride along the whole thing, from the starting post to the finish. We definitely won't be racing, but we will have some canters along the verges and in other places. The route is 16.5 miles long and there are two places where we have to cross the A614, including at a roundabout, so your horse must be happy to do that. We'll stop for refreshments part-way round. The ride is led by Janet Cochrane and starts at 10 am. Please contact us for further details and booking.
