Additional Event Information
22 June and 14 September at Boomerang Stables, Berkshire
with Julia Mauchline (June) and Charlie Samuel-Camps (September)
We'll start the day with showjumping or polework lessons in the beautifully landscaped Wombat arena. After lunch, we'll head out to the cross-country course, where there are a huge variety of fences from 40cm to Advanced. There are steps, ditches, waters and banks for those who don't want to take off to play with. Our coaches are always awesome at working with riders and horses of all levels of experience, and are fantastic at building confidence and riders almost always do more than they expect to!
There will be tea, coffee and cake, plus a light lunch, included in the price for riders. A weighbridge will be available too, so horses can be weighed and fat scored. There are goody bags for horse and rider. We'll also have a photographer on the scene, from whom photos can be purchased separately.
COST
Each camp costs 90 per horse and rider. Moral support crew are welcome to join you, at a cost of 15 per person if they would like lunch and refreshments, or FOC if they bring their own. Non-riders must be at least 14 years of age.
REFUNDS
In the event of horse or rider injury/sickness we will do our best to refill your place and then be able to refund you on receipt of a vet/doctor note. Refunds are at the discretion of the organiser - we know horses and feel your pain when things go wrong, so will do everything we can to be generous but we are a charity and have to cover the event costs.
RIDERS
Campers can be of any standard, providing they are at least able to walk, trot and canter their horse or pony safely in an arena and in company. It is absolutely fine to be nervous though!
Riders must be at least 14 years of age. Under 18s must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian of at least 18.
