10-mile guided ride with Bill Tait and Mel Mellor around the moorland of Blakey Ridge and Rosedale, in the heart of the North York Moors, with stunning views. Part of the ride is along the old ironstone railway line and passes former mine workings and miners' cottages - an evocative part of the Moors landscape known as the 'Land of Iron'. Some of the tracks are stony and the terrain is hilly, so this is a challenging ride in places, although it is not that long and you stop for a break at a farmstead with an excellent cafe. Maximum group size 5 people, starts 10 am. Entry fee �32, to include a drink. Contact ride organiser for entry form.
