Affiliated to NPS Winter Championship 2022 & BSPS Winter Championship 2022. Entries to be paid by PayPal or Bank Transfer at request. **Due to Covid-19, classes will capping classes at 15 entries per class*** Affiliations NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and the NPS affiliated classes will be run under NPS rules. Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non-Members will need to become members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival 2021. The NPS General Rules for Showing apply (see NPS website for details). In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2021/2022 Novice and Pure Novice Winter Championships will not debar ponies from the NPS 202w Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring. To be run under National Pony Society Rules 2021/22 NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. The owner�s valid membership card must be in therider�s/handler�s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner�s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the ReserveChampion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. NPS / Kilmannan Stud M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M In Hand section. The Sponsor�s Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the Qualification Card. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the 2022 NPS Summer Championship Show This competition is affiliated to the National Pony Society. This show is affiliated to BSPS Winter Championship 2022. Classes are to held under BSPS Rules. HERITAGE RESTRICTED CLASSES Animals eligible for Restricted Heritage classes must NOT have been placed 1st to 8th at the R.I.H.S., (except Pretty Polly and Young Riders) or H.O.Y.S. or Olympia in the relevant Mountain and Moorland classes in 2019/2020/2021 BSPS novice classes 1st-3rd will qualify and in the BSPS restricted classes 1st-3rd places restricted animals will qualify. Shetland Pony Stud Book Society *Classes must be confined to SPS-BS registered ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or to foals eligible for registration. *Three-year-old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. Ridden stallions MUST display a stallion bridle badge. In-hand stallions 2 years and over are advised to display a stallion bridle badge. *There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 years old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes. Children under 12 years old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 years or under in In-hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. Ridden and driven ponies must be 4 years old or over. In ridden Classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part. Yorkshire Native Pony Show RULES: 1. ** Covid-19!. Please STAY home if you have showed any symptoms of COVID-19, up to two weeks prior to show day. 2. Back numbers will be given out on day, each party has to fill a form in with pre entry, regarding each parties Full name, address and contact number. This is incase of a break out of COVID-19 and everyone on the show ground will be contacted immediately. All parties details will be kept confidential to Secretary and destroyed 2 weeks after show date. 3. All ponies must be 4 years old or over. 4. Rosettes to 6th place in all class. 5. Must use hand sanitisers on regular basis. 6. Wash hands thoroughly on arrival and after using any facilities throughout the day. 7. Ensure you park lorries and cars safely where directed by the officials. 8. Abide by the Rules in the Schedule. 9. Only animals competing at the show will be allowed on the showground. 10. Show Organisers have taken responsibility to set safeguards in place for exhibitors but attendance at the Show is at your own risk. 22. Junior classes are subject to age classes are from the 1st January 2021. Please refer to the NPS &BSPS Rule book, regarding Lead rein and First Ridden. 23. ALL riders must wear a correctly fitted helmet which has been passed with PAS015/ ENS1384 code. 24. ALL rider MUST wear head gear at all times whilst mounted anywhere on the show ground at all time. 25. All juniors under the age of 16yrs must wear a hard helmet when handling in all classes. 26. Cantering on the show ground IS NOT permitted, except in rings and official working in areas. 27. The judge�s decision is FINAL in all classes. 28. Complaints or Objections are to be submitted to the show secretary within 20minuets of the class ending and must be accompanied by �20, which will be refunded if the complaint if upheld. 29. Entry fees will not be refunded, except in genuine cases of injury to horse which will need a veterinary certificate. People that don�t show up for the class or cancel the class, will forfeit money- which will be donated to the Yorkshire & Humber Mother and Baby Unit. 30. We ask that all competitors remove their rubbish from the show ground. This field does get grazed on all season by horses. So please take it home! 31. No horse/Pony under the age of 4yrs shall be ridden. 32. All children must be over the age of 3yrs to compete. Children must be supervised at all times. 33. **WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE TO ABUSE** any competitor, party member creating a scene or being abusive to the judges/ secretary or officials. Will be immediately thrown off the show ground and banned form attending any YNPS shows. WE SHALL NOT TOLERATE BAD BEHAVIOR at this show! 34. You must ensure that you have your own adequate public liability insurance cover. The land owners and organiser will not accept no liability responsibility what so ever in the event of any loss, injury or damage done to any item, horse/pony or person taking part. 35. Mistreatment of any horse or pony on the show ground will result in permanent exclusion. Any one seen hitting, punching kicking or excessively whipping will be asked to leave the show ground, entries will not be refunded and you will never be able to return to this show. 36. NO DOGS ALLOWED ON SHOW GROUND. 37. The landowner has asked that everyone stay within the designated show ground. Please respect the landowners privacy. In-Hand NPS/LEYHILLS STUD M&M IN-HAND CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to Mountain & Moorland ponies registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. At Foal Shows, the first three ponies in each class will qualify for the Yearling Final at the Spring Festival. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 122cms. Pony not to have won a first prize in any Leading Rein class before 1stSeptember 2019. To be shown in a snaffle bit, the leading rein must be attached to the noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the rider�s hands. (Riders must not have attained their 9th birthday by 1st January in the current year). THE B.S.P.S. HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND NOVICE LEAD REIN.
