Top Dutch trainer Gerrit-Claes Bierenbroodspot is coming to the UK for a clinic! These lessons are suitable for riders of all levels who wish to improve! The teaching is conducted in a very clear, logical and friendly way that really allows you to focus on improving your riding and the horse’s way of going. Horsemanship and understanding the horse’s reactions, bio mechanics and well-being are key factors in the training. The work is concentrated on optimizing the possibilities of the horse-rider combinations, the effect the rider’s aids has on the balance of the horse as well as the riders feel. Gerrit-Claes originally started his career as an event rider and enjoyed much success and competed in the European Junior Championships. He took over his first riding school at the age of 19 and become more focused on training and teaching. At 24 he was awarded the “Leo van de Kar” award for the most promising trainer in the Netherlands. GC also became National Dutch trainer of both the junior and young rider teams for a 5-year period, after which he joined the Dutch Equestrian School for Professionals (NHB). He spent 16 years here, including the last 6 years as the head instructor. After this, GC started his company HorseFind Holland which sources talented horses for clients from all over the world. Gerrit-Claes has taught in the US since 1988 and has helped hundreds of people in the US from training level to Grand Prix reach their potential. He also teaches in Denmark, Belgium, and China, where he trained the Zhe Jiang province team that won bronze in the Chinese Olympic Games. Price: £100 per lesson (1 hour) + £10 for arena hire. Indoor + outdoor arenas with mirros and excellent surfaces. Spectators are very welcome but please let us know if you are planning on coming so we can let you know suitable times as some riders may not like to be watched, whereas other aren’t bothered.
