We are very lucky to have Jo Beavis visiting Bournefield Animal Rehabilitation Centre for another day of saddle fitting new and existing saddles. Jo also specialises in fitting Fairfax bridles too.
Jo qualified as a saddler and saddle fitter in 1984 and is a Member of the Society of Master Saddlers. She spent eight years with Albion Saddle makers providing product and technical training to stockists, saddlers and saddle fitters before helping to found The National Saddle Centre. Jo has a lifelong interest in all things equine and has trained and ridden her own horses for competition.
Jo will take time to understand your individual requirements, the direction you wish to take, your targets and ambitions and the subtle changes that can affect the success of the horse/rider partnership. Every horse and rider combination is unique.
Jo will assess your horse's conformation and movement and discuss your horse�s level of training and any issues encountered are noted as this can affect the balance, stability and straightness of your saddle.
Test rides and feedback are recorded to best determine appropriate seat size, seat width and leg position, and when combined ensure rider security and balance. The comfort of the saddle for horse and rider is essential for maximum performance and is a multi-dimensional issue which is relative to the discipline you are trying to excel in. Jo's aim at the National Saddle Centre is to maximise biomechanical ability in order to reduce fatigue, and increase all round mechanical confidence, without compromise.
PAYMENT FOR SADDLE FITTING SHOULD BE MADE TO JO DIRECTLY, �80 INCL. VAT PLUS ADJUSTMENTS FOR YOUR FIRST SADDLE. �30 FOR A SECOND SADDLE. THIS INCLUDES THE RIDDEN ASSESSMENT.
